Resumo do Projeto
Descrição: RITMO is a MCSA Global Commission's research project. RITMO breaks new ground by exploring and focusing on the place-making function of ritual movement in Roman religion, that is movement of individuals or groups on a more or less fixed route for religious causes or purposes. The main objective of the project is to study the impact and the consequences of continued ritual performance on the cultural, social and physical creation of religious places, thus of collective identity and memory in ancient Rome. The project will be carried out by Dr. Giorgio Ferri (Principal Investigator) at Sapienza Univesità di Roma - Italy, Prof. C. Beltrão at Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro- Brazil, Prof. A. Saggioro at Sapienza Università di Roma, and Prof. Francesca Prescendi, at the AnHiMA Research Center (Paris).
